Please help us to help Conakry Refugee School open doors to a positive future for refugee children.

The young people who attend Conakry Refugee School have fled from violence brought about by brutal civil war in their own countries.  Most have witnessed atrocities, many have lost parents and other family members on the way and many are severely traumatised.  For these young people CRS is a life-line, and getting a good education is their hope for a positive future.

Conakry Refugee School receives no financial help from the Guinean Government or any other external agency.  Without the funding raised by Friends of CRS the School would be forced to close.

By donating to FCRS you can make a huge difference to the lives of these refugee children, providing opportunities through education.

• £9 pays for school transport for 1 child for 1 month
• £20 buys 100 school meals
• £50 pays 16 children’s school fees for one month
• £200 buys exercise books, pens and paper for the whole school for 6 months
• £300 buys a class set of essential textbooks and learning materials
• £500 pays for setting up a vocational course like fabric dying or hairdressing
• £1,000 pays for 6 months rent on the school buildings
• £10,000 pays ALL staff salaries for ONE YEAR
